Acceptable Use Policy

The rules that keep Eagora safe, deliverable and trusted for every sender.

What you can do
  • Marketing emails to subscribers who explicitly opted in
  • Transactional emails tied to a real product event (receipts, password resets, shipping updates)
  • Lifecycle and automation messages with a clear unsubscribe path
  • Newsletters, product launches, customer education and onboarding
  • Re-engagement campaigns to recently active contacts
What is prohibited
  • Unsolicited bulk email (spam) or purchased / scraped lists
  • Phishing, credential harvesting, impersonation or fraud
  • Malware, viruses, cryptojacking, or links to malicious payloads
  • Adult, escort, gambling without license, multi-level marketing, or get-rich-quick schemes
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that incites violence
  • Illegal goods, controlled substances, weapons, or counterfeit products
  • Misleading subject lines, forged headers, or hidden sender identity
  • Content that infringes intellectual property or violates third-party rights

Permission-based sending

You must have a documented, lawful basis to email every recipient on your list — typically explicit opt-in. We may request proof of consent at any time and reserve the right to suspend sending if you cannot provide it.

List quality & hygiene

Hard bounce rates above 5%, spam complaint rates above 0.3%, or sustained low engagement may trigger automatic throttling and a review. Eagora provides built-in validation, sunset flows and engagement segments to help you stay healthy.

Authentication

All sending domains must be authenticated with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Unauthenticated sending is disabled by default and cannot be enabled by support.

Transactional vs. marketing

Transactional streams must be limited to messages directly triggered by a user action. Promotional content in transactional streams is a violation of this AUP and may result in throttling or suspension.

Rate limits & abuse protection

We apply per-account and per-IP rate limits to protect deliverability for all customers. Attempting to circumvent limits — including spinning up multiple accounts to fan out a single campaign — is prohibited.

Third-party rights

Do not send content you do not have the right to send, including copyrighted material, trademarks, or personal data shared without a legal basis.

Security & integrity

Do not probe, scan, or otherwise test the vulnerability of Eagora systems without prior written permission. Do not interfere with other customers' use of the service.

Enforcement

We may, at our discretion, throttle sending, disable features, suspend accounts, or terminate service for violations. Severe or repeated violations result in immediate termination without refund.

Reporting abuse

If you receive an unwanted message sent through Eagora, please email [email protected] with full headers. We investigate every report and act within one business day.

Security disclosure

Found a vulnerability? Email [email protected]. We honor responsible disclosure.
